Willie A. Short

Willie A. Short was born to Willie and Lolo Short on March 27, 1930 in Lawton Oklahoma. His early education began in Oklahoma where he attended the local schools and graduated from high school. Willie lived in several States, Arizona, New Mexico, and San Diego, California where he met and married Lavern Smith-Short in 1963 and from their union Bridget and Brenda Short were born. Willie also began working for the Railroad in 1963 where he worked many years before moving to Oroville, California in 1969 and marring his second wife Charlotte (Pet) Short. Willie worked for the Cannery in Oroville for 20 years and retired in 1989. In 2010 both Willie and Charlotte moved with their daughter Brenda Short in Vallejo, California because of health reasons. He leaves to mourn his 5 children, Willie Jr, Rick, Charlotte, Williemae, and Diane all of San Diego California. Bridget Brown of Coral Springs, Florida and Brenda Short of Fairfield California, One son-in law Theodore Brown, Two grandchildren, Brianna Washington and Derrick Lewis both of Fairfield California, and two great grandchildren, Jahilen MacDowell and Adaya Lewis and a host of relatives and friends.
