William Michael Sernesky

William Michael Sernesky passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022.  He was born on August 26, 1952 in Terrace Bay, Ontario, Canada to Bill Sernesky and Rosemary McGrath.  He came to California when he was 12 years old and graduated from Arcata High School in 1971.  He exercised race horses in his early 20's, then worked for Safeway for 32 years, retiring in 2008.  He met and married Bonnie in 1999.  Because Mike and Bonnie both loved horses they had several until 2013, when they sold their horses and bought quads.  He also played bass guitar and loved music.   He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sernesky; his daughter, Gwyn Sernesky; his stepdaughter,  Teresa Brockman; his stepson,  Kit Baker; his sister, Sheila Lloyd; brothers, Danny Sernesky and Jimmy Sernesky; grandchildren Zackary, Harmony, Grace, Gavin, Brennen, Andrew and Kylee. Services for Mike will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville, Ca on April 29th at 11:00 am.
