Wanda Butler Throop “Grandma”
September 23, 1934 to July 12, 2023
She was born in Pauls Valley Oklahoma to Sam and Ida Butler. She was the youngest of 12 children.
Wanda was one of the kindest and most generous person you would ever meet. She didn’t have a lot of money but she would give you her last dollar to help you out. She loved unconditionally. Family was very important to her.
After a prolonged sickness, she left the hospital. Then two days later she closed her eyes and went peacefully asleep with her daughter and grandson by her side.
She married the love of her life, Ira “Bob” Throop Jr on July 17th, 1957 in Fresno California. They traveled around the United States with each other. They had two daughters that each gave her three grandkids. Peggy Dent- Shuree Wesley, Jason Throop, and Jeremy Simmons. Bobbi Cobb- Terry Braly, Chris Stokes, and Courtney Cobb. Wanda had seven great grandkids and two great, great grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
