Wanda M. Helmer, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Oroville, California. She was born June 17, 1935, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Brown and Sylvia Hughes. Wanda was a very vivacious woman who was always on the go. She loved her family more than anything, as well as music, dancing, bowling and a good western movie. She was a hard worker and enjoyed her many years as a waitress and visiting with people when they would come into the restaurant. Wanda was a very fun person who loved excitement and was always up for an adventure.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stewart Helmer, her son Davy Ingram and daughter Theresa Ingram. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Randy Harles, JD & Aron Ingram, and Billy Peer. Wanda was also preceded in death by her brothers John Dewy “JD” and David Brown, and her sister Christine Caldeira and great-grandson Kyle Bloxham.
Wanda is survived by four of her children: Judy Pacheco, Billie (Jerry) Richardson, Allen Lewis, and Kimberley Lewis. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings Sharon Eustler, Sandy (Mike) Farley, and Ronnie (Patty) Howell. Wandas’ legacy continues through her grandchildren: Donny (Tanya), Shelle (Henry), Jody, Steve (Keri), Julie (Delano), Brandy (Kevin), Rebecca (Mike), Jason (Beverly), Jesse (Jamie) Alyssa, Jacob, Samantha, and Jonathon. Her great-grandchildren include Brittany, Jason (Ellisia), Brandon, Chelby, Isabella, Aubrey (Jonathan), Taylor (Charles), Devin, David, Skyler (Deseree), Dakota, Dante, Alexus, Tayler, Karah, Mackenzie, James David Jr., Kiri, Jamie, Kayla, Patrick (Emily), Tristan, Grey, Jacob, Jonah, Bailey, Katie, Ethan, Benjamin, Liliana, Alyssa, Jaylene, O’rja, Jaden, and Christopher. Wanda was also blessed with numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Wanda was, and always will be, loved beyond measure and will be missed eternally.
Her services will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 at the LDS church located at 167 Table Mountain Blvd, Oroville, CA 95965. Her viewing will be from 1130-1230, and the service starts at 1230.
