Thomas Frank Robertson passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 after a six-week battle with COVID pneumonia. He was 68 years old. Tom was born on April 14, 1952 in San Jose, California to Delmer and Lucile Robertson. He had four older siblings, Ronald, Diane, Jeanette, and Susan, and one younger brother, Russell. After spending his early childhood in Los Gatos, California, the family moved to Oroville, California where Tom spent the majority of his life.
He married his high school sweetheart, Annette, on June 3, 1972 in the Oakland Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They raised their twelve children in Oroville where he was actively involved in the community through church service, scouting, youth soccer, and the PUSD School Board.
Tom was a jack-of-all trades who held more than 30 jobs during his life, including building construction, retail management, restaurant management, automotive services, and amateur travel agent. For the last eight years, he was the general manager of VANco in Sacramento, California until his retirement in October 2019.
Tom loved life. He loved to camp and enjoyed any time spent with his family. He loved to travel with friends, play card games, laugh at his own jokes, dance with his sweetheart, and sing all the words to every song played on 60’s on Six. He accomplished many things in his life, but considered his crowning achievement to be each of his children and grandchildren who he loved and supported unconditionally.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Annette, his children (too many to list), his 43 grandchildren (way too many to list), and everyone who knew him. He’s gone way too soon.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 26 at the Monte Vista chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
