Sharon DeShan Rodney Berzins, 75 yo, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2020 in Oroville, CA after her battle with brain cancer. She was born on June 30, 1945 in Bremerton, WA. Sharon is survived by: her children, Bill Rodney, Rob Rodney, Joey Rodney and their families, which she adored; and her siblings, Susan Farrell, Sheila DeShan, Shelly DeShan, and Ken DeShan. She is preceded in death by her parents Ken and Gloria DeShan, her husband Peter Berzins, daughter Marissa Rodney, and her sister Sandy DeShan Ramage.
Sharon has lived an interesting life, moving from place to place. She worked as a 911 dispatcher for the Butte County Sherrif’s Dept. Later she worked as a 911 dispatch supervisor at the Redding Shascom Police Dept. She also worked as a senior care giver.

Sharon enjoyed many things in her life. Her younger years were spent in Ojai, CA where she was involved in equestrian events and was an accomplished barrel racer. After marrying, she moved to Oroville, CA to raise her family. She played softball and many remember her as one of the best fastball pitchers in the league. She enjoyed lake trips, water skiing, volleyball, fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
