Rodney Lymoine Dowty

Lifetime Oroville area resident, Rodney “Lymoine” Dowty passed away unexpectedly on Friday,
October 7th, 2022. Lymoine attended area schools graduating from Las Plumas High School in
1977. He retired after a 36 year career as a custodian for Oroville Union High School District.
Lymoine enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. A friend to all, Lymoine is survived by 3
sisters; Sharon Pinkley (Jerry), Linda Hecker (Carl) and Reanne Guild (Randy). Many nieces
and nephews and a special friend, Lisa Peel. He was preceded in death by his parents Everett
and Leona Dowty, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Viewing will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, October 19th at Scheer Memorial Chapel. All are
invited to graveside services on Friday, October 21st at 11 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in
Oroville.
