Robert Alan Smith

Robert Alan Smith- 52 passed from this earth September 26, 2022 in Oroville, California. 

He was born March 13, 1970 in Greenville, South Carolina to Bobby and Dorothy Smith. He graduated from James Oliver Johnson High School in Huntsville, Alabama and enjoyed working in catering and as a travel agent. Robert found a love of traveling as a military brat stationed at many Air Force Bases around the world. His love of traveling continued throughout his life often with his trusted companion cat Lil Girl. He always found special souvenirs for his niece and nephew on his grand adventures. Robert finally found his home on his Native ancestor’s land in Berry Creek, California. Tragically he was forced to leave in 2020 after first being attacked and almost killed by a serial killer and then again when wildfires raged through the mountains later that same year. He spent the past two years traveling between his parent’s home in Alabama and his Tribal home in California as he healed both physically and mentally. He helped bring his attacker to justice August 4, 2022. 

Robert is preceded in death by brother Noah Wayne. He is survived, loved and missed by his Mother and Father Dorothy and Bobby Smith, sister Charmion Jeffreys and her husband Jon, nephew Kristopher, niece Angelina, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
