Rasee “Bill” Starkey, a resident of Oroville, California, passed away peacefully and painlessly, at his home, surrounded by loved ones on the morning of January 24th.
He went on to join his brother, Jess David Starkey, who passed a few days prior.
Rasee was born in Littlefield, Texas in the spring of 1942.
He went to high school in Earth, Texas.
He served in the US Army from 1964-1966 and survived combat in Viet Nam.
He returned, got married, moved to California, and attended college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where he graduated with a bachelors degree in Agricultiral Science in 1970.
He was employed by and retired from the state of California, Department of Agriculture, as a fraud investigator.
He retired to the country and lived out his life on a small ranch, which was his dream.
He is survived by his wife of 54-years, Helen, his daughters Amy, Alise and Anna and his grandson, Aidan.
