Paul Riley Habe

Paul Riley Habe, 74, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on March 5, 2025 after a short battle with cancer and other illnesses that took a great toll on him over the past few years. Paul was born in Richmond, California on April 22, 1950 to Robert James Habe and Jewel Comet (Shaver) Habe. Paul was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1969 to 1971. Paul was a hard worker all of his life, holding jobs in various fields such as pipe-fitter, truck driver, boiler operator, wood treatment plant operator and finished his working days driving truck again. He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Karen Habe, his daughters Stacie (Michael) Martinez and Laura (Eric) Hughes and his son Riley Habe. He also leaves behind his brothers Jim (Diane) Habe and Michael Habe and his sister Robin Martin, 2 granddaughters Jullian Reid and Josie Atteberry and 4 Grandsons Jarret Atteberry, Aiden Martinez, Quinten Martinez and Ian Martinez and 2 wonderful great- grandsons, Lane and Miles Reid. He also leaves behind his beloved aunt and uncle Jeannie and Rudy Alvidrez and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jewel Habe and his youngest brother Bryan Habe. Paul's greatest source of happiness was spending time with his family and being at the ocean in Fort Bragg, California. Many happy times were spent there with the entire family. We all love and miss him dearly. 

Paul was a wonderful handyman, he was able to fix anything from cars to home repairs and enjoyed passing on all of his knowledge to his family. All of us have benefitted from helping him work on projects and we now have the knowledge to fix things ourselves because of him.

At Paul's request, no services will be held. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
