Norma Joan Johnson “Nonna” passed away comfortably on the morning of November 3, 2022. She had spent her last year in the loving care of Yuba City Post-Acute Care, battling dementia and Alzheimer’s. Despite her dementia, Nonna remained cheerful, sassy and was a joy to those around her. Nonna was known for her baking, her bossiness, and her love for her family. She spent her life raising her children, grandchildren, and volunteering in her church and community. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by Vada Harden, Floyd Harden, DebraLynn Marubashi, Jaylene Johnson, Jay W. Johnson, and grandchildren Chester, Melissa, Jaycob, Jessica, Jon, Rachel, Linde, Ryan, Esther, Jeanette, Celeste, Michael Jay, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Johnson, and her sons Chester West and Jayson Johnson.
No services are scheduled at this time. Nonna will be laid to rest alongside her husband J.W. Johnson, at Biggs Gridley Memorial Cemetery.
