Marlene Gale Morrow

Marlene Gale Morrow of Paradise, CA went home to Jesus on May 6, 2021 at the age of 76.

Marlene was born to the late Harold Everrett and Margaret  Vindhurst on May 29, 1944 in Chico, CA.  She was raised by her mother Margaret Vindhurst and father Raymond Vindhurst of Paradise.

She is survived by her daughters Angela Mae Morrow and Lisa Morrow Hostek, grandchildren Lesley Morrow Spence ( husband C.J. ) Lauren Cartwright and Dylan Cartwright, brothers Raymond Vindhurst, Michael Vindhurst and sister Linda Mae LeSage and the rest of her large beautiful family.

Marlene married the love of her life, Les Morrow in 1962 in Monterey, CA.  She was 17 and Les was 21.  In 1986, the Morrow family relocated to Paradise to be closer to their family.

Family was precious to her and she often made sacrifices to give them better opportunities. She had strong loving relationships with Kin and amazing bonds with each of her grandkids.

For many years Marlene and Les were members and served Paradise Ridge Southern Baptist Church. Marlene was a gifted singer. She loved hymns and any opportunity to worship God.  A strong Christian since her teens, she had the faith of a warrior and a servant's heart. She was humble, graceful and kind.

Diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014, Marlene faced many obstacles. Her spirit remained with God although she lost much of herself along the way.  Her favorite declaration of faith was "God is good. All the time. And all the time....God is good ."

Celebration of Life will be held at Chico First Assembly of God Church, 1137 Arbutus Avenue, Chico, CA at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 26,2021
