Marjorie Ann Webber passed away on July 30, 2023 at the age of 98. Marge was born in Glendo, Wyoming to William J. and Ruth Marie Wiegand. She moved to Loveland, Colorado when she was 2 years old and lived her childhood days in the Big Thompson area. Marge graduated from the 8th grade at the Big Thompson School and from Loveland High School. While married to John Webber, due to his employment, she lived in various places in Colorado, Wyoming, Washington and California. Marge moved to Oroville in 1959. She worked for the Bank of America for 2 years then as a Legal Steno in the Butte County District Attorney's office for 20 years. Marge was a member of the First Congregational Church of Oroville. She was involved in various civic organizations and was a volunteer at The Attic for many years.
Marge is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Webber of Portland Oregon and her son John (Kerry) Webber of Oroville. She was a very proud grandma to Heidi McClellan and Scott Webber. Marge was delighted to be a great grandma to Hayden and Graysen Webber of Oroville. Marge is also survived by her brother, Bill (Kathy) Wiegand and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Lyle and Melvin and sister Lona, her parents and her very special Uncle Fred. She is also survived by many special friends who were like her extended family.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, August 18, 2023 at the First Congregational Church in Oroville at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STAGE (State Theater Arts Guild) c/o Jim Moll at Stifel, Heidi's House c/o The Father's House in Oroville or the Disabled American Vets.
