After a long full life, John Martin Machado passed away November 13, 2021 while in the care of his son, John, and daughter-in-law, Diana. He was 93 years old.
He is survived by his son, John A. Machado and daughter-in-law, Diana Machado; daughter, Linda M. Machado and partner Bill E. Roth, 5 grandchildren: Mathew M. Machado, Andrew M. Machado, John M. Machado III, Sophia P. Machado and Maya Machado. His extension of life, his first great grandchild (Emery M. Machado) will be born to Andrew and Caitlin Machado in February 2022.
John was born in a little home in Tipton, CA to Antonio and Theadora Machado. His parents were immigrants from Terceria, Azores, Portugal. John graduated from Artesia Elementary School with only an 8th grade education and started milking cows. Most of his earnings he sent home to his Mother and younger siblings as his father Antonio passed away leaving his mother a widow with 5 children.
John managed to save money and bought his first new car at 16. John was called to duty joining the Army and proudly served his country in the Korean War. While in the Army, John learned his trade as a refrigeration mechanic. He was honorable discharged.
John returned to Tipton, CA where he met his wife, Beverly. They married in Tulare, CA on March 23, 1952. John and Beverly moved to Lakewood, CA, bought their first home and raised their two children John and Lisa. John worked at Ahdor Farms as a Refrigeration Specialist as well as a diesel mechanic. He retired after 35 years with the company.
John and Beverly moved to Paradise, CA in 1991 where they personally built their beautiful home.
John joins in death his wife. Beverly J. Machado, Son, John M. Machado, Jr., Sister, Mary E. Leal, his three brothers; Tony M. Machado, Manuel M. Machado and youngest, Frank M. Machado. John will be laid to rest next to his wife Beverly in a quiet cemetery in the town of Paradise, CA.

A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Paradise Cemetery.
