Jan Ardeene (Henderson) Hofer, 82, of Oroville, CA passed away peacefully at home, surrounded
by family on March 29, 2024. She was born in Oroville on August 11, 1941 to Henry and Mildred
(Kauffman) Henderson.
Jan attended Palermo Elementary School and graduated from Oroville High School. She lived on
the family farm which adjoined her parents' farm and brother's farm. She loved living in the place she
grew up and where she raised her family. She grew persimmons, pecans, and olives in the orchard. Her
hard work and determination were cornerstones to her personality. She worked for the District Attorney's
Office, Family Support Division until she retired.
Jan was a dedicated daughter, mother, and grandmother. She always put family first and loved
getting together for all the holidays. Jan was a quiet woman who had a keen sense of humor and a
wonderful laugh. She was a member of Palermo Grange for most of her adult life.
Jan is preceeded in death by her sister Beverly (Ron) Pitcher. She is survived by her twin brother
Jack (Sherry) Henderson and younger brother Jim (Suz) Henderson. Her children Scot (Tracey) Hofer and
Kimberly (Armand) Presentati. Jan's grandchildren Elizabeth and Abrielle Hofer, Annika Presentati, and
Joshua Workman, as well as her great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Weston Workman. Along with many
nieces and nephews.
