“She lived for those she loved,
and those she loved remember.”
In Loving Memory of
Helen Ann Haase
July 20, 1931 – October 19, 2025
Our beloved Helen Ann Haase was born on July 20, 1931, in Alamosa, Colorado, and passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Oroville, California.
Helen spent her early childhood in Gunnison, Colorado, where she lived with her grandparents
and her mother until the age of eight. In 1940, her family moved to Sunnyvale, California, and
later, in 1964, Helen settled in Oroville—a place she proudly called home for the rest of her life.
Helen’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Karen Ann (Mike)
Sisty, Helen Pamela Downey, Linda Leigh Cook, James Leroy (Kitty) Bias, and her bonus
daughter Christine Lee Bias. She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Richard Henry Bias and Jon Mackie Bias.
She leaves behind a large and loving family—15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and
10 great-great-grandchildren—each of whom carries a piece of her heart.
Helen was loved by so many because of her unconditional love, her strength, and her beautiful
spirit. She was the rock of her family, always offering warmth, wisdom, and a listening ear. To
know Helen was to be touched by her kindness. She was beautiful inside and out, and her love will live on through all those who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026. Date and time will be announced.
