Georgene Roe Goodwin

Georgene Goodwin,83, died on July 2, 2018, at home surrounded by family.  She was born in San Francisco to George and Imogene Tishbern.  She was the oldest of two children.

Georgene started singing and tap dancing at the young age of three.  She continued to entertain until she was 18 when she then fell in love with Clarence James (C. J.) Goodwin.  Georgene was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved youngest son Keith Goodwin.  Georgene leaves behind her husband of 64 years; son, John; daughter, Melody Robbins; sister-in-law, Betty Phillips; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Georgene will always be remembered as a warm, big and caring person.  She was a bright and shining soul to all who knew her.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 10:00 A.M. at the Paradise First Baptist Church, 6500 Clark Road, Paradise followed by a graveside service at the Paradise Cemetery, 980 Elliott Road, Paradise.  A visitation will be held at Rose Chapel Mortuary, 6382 Clark Road, Paradise on July 10, 2018, 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. There will be a fellowship gathering after the burial to honor Georgene  at the First Baptist Church.
