Frank Alexander Obituary

Frank Lloyd Alexander, 82, of Oroville, California, also known affectionately as Francis, Fathead, PeePaw, Pops, and Tadgie, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025. Born in Vallejo, California, to Frank J. Alexander and Normal L. Fields, Frank dedicated his life to service and family. He served in the US Army and California National Guard in the 1960s and retired from a distinguished career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 1982. Frank was married to Adell Alexander for 41 years until her passing in early 2010. He is survived by his sister, Victoria Burnett, his son Scott Alexander, and predeceased by his first son, Tony Alexander; with three stepchildren, Jim, Frankie, and Kim. He shared the last 15 years with his amazing and loving companion, Linda Noriega. An avid golfer, enthusiastic amateur traveler (always wanted to do more), and master of computer solitaire, Frank was known for his pragmatic and practical nature, quick humor, love of teasing and the willingness to help others. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at all the reunions with all his cousins and other family members. He was a proud member and former officer of both the Eagles Lodge and the Butte County Scottish Society. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Scheer Memorial Chapel in Oroville, CA. A private interment for family will follow at Paradise Cemetery. Later that day, friends and family are invited to a celebration of life starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge in Oroville, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, continuing Frank’s generous legacy.
