Frances M. Jones 96 passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 under loving care in Oroville,Ca.Frances was a beautiful on the inside and out,even up to the day of her passing. She was loved by everyone and adored by her immediate family,large extended family and friends. She was always smiling, and loved to laugh. She enjoyed many of the beautiful gifts of nature, and especially loved children.
She was born in Russellville,Alabama into a large,loving family. She was a twin and also had a set of twin brothers. Her siblings adored her as she did them. During World War II she married John C. Jones of Russellville, Alabama. He served in the South Pacific on the USS Minneapolis.Upon his discharge from the Navy they decide to make their home in California. First in San Francisco CA, where their son was born, they later moved to Sharp Park, which later became part of Pacifica, CA. They bought a home there and had their daughter. They started their own business and later expanded,living one block from the ocean, Frances was an office manager and helped the business run smoothly.
For a short time they lived in Mendocino County but later returned to Pacifica, until the final move to Oroville,Ca.in 1978,to be near their daughter and family. Frances was very active in the Baptist Church the majority of her life, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Pacifica Baptist, Grace Baptist and Calvary Baptist in Oroville. Many missionaries were invited into their home,where they enjoyed her southern cooking and graciousness.
Frances was preceded in death in 2015 by her loving husband of 72 years, John C. Her father George, mother Mary, siblings: Nellie, George, Lenice, Annie Lou, Irene,twin brothers Gene and James, sister Ruth, twin brother Frank and sister Clara.
She leaves behind her son, John Allan Jones of Alaska(Dianne),daughter Carol Coffman of Oroville(Ron deceased),Grandchildren Kim Tworek (Bruce),Debbie Metzger (Jim), Steven Coffman, Jeff Coffman (Diane), Great-Grandchildren Ashlyn Tworek, Devin and Dylan Metzger, Natalie Coffman and Seth Coffman. Many loving neices and nephews who love and adore her. Now in the loving arms of those who have gone on before her.
