Edith Lena Dunnagan born Edith Lena Rose 09/20/33 to Hale and Lena Rose
in Susanville, Ca. Siblings proceeded in death, Ruby and Dorris Rose.
Other siblings Roger Rose of Chico, Grace Doughty of Oroville.
Married to Bill Dunnagan, daughter Carolyn (Atteberry) had son Harold Dunnagan (proceeded in death) in Susanville CA. Then they moved to Feather Falls.
Both kids attended school in feather falls, where Edith was a homemaker and husband Bill was a tree faller. Then both of her children attended Las Plumas. Carolyn married Michael Atteberry and they had their two grandchildren Eric Atteberry and Miranda Atteberry (Mackabee), Miranda married husband Gabriel and they have their three beautiful great granddaughters, Gabrielle Chenae, Chantel Aretha and Olivia Cherelle. Miranda is a local nurse, Gabrielle is a activities assistant at a local SNF, Chantel is attending Butte College and Olivia is a senior in high school. Edith and her husband Bill lived locally in Palermo, Edith taught many kids in Sunday School and helped as much as she could as her local church. Edith and Bill had many animals on their farm over the years and enjoyed living the farm life. They were married for years, Bill was from Arkansas and passed away October of 2018. Edith enjoyed her last years living next to her daughter Carolyn. They attended a local sewing group with the church ladies and Edith continued to attend her local church until her health declined so much she was unable, but would listen weekly. Edith spent the last year and half with her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughters at home caring for her. Close friends and family visiting her at home. Edith chose to live her last days under the care of family members and a wonderful hospice team caring for her. Until her very last days on the days she could barely speak saying “Rejoice in the Lord” still saying her prayers as she had lost her vision when she would hear the clock ring for the new hour. Edith passed with her granddaughter and daughter by her side until the very end on November 11,2023. As i write this with tears in my eyes, remembering all the wonderful memories. Of all the horses I got to ride at their house, or all the baby animals me and my grandparents bottle fed or watching my daughters have the same excitement when they saw the palm trees at the end of the road as we got close to Grandma and Grandpa of palermo. I know the prize that she got when she got to heaven for all the acts of her faith were greatly rewarded!
1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
