Dewey Vera Obituary

Dewey
Eliso Vera, born on August 2, 1944, in Seattle, Washington, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on December 2, 2025 in Paradise, California, at the age of 81. His life was  marked by kindness, humility, and a steadfast devotion to his faith - qualities that left a lasting impression on everyone who had the blessing of knowing him.

Dewey was preceded in death by his siblings: Roy, Jesse, Raymond, Alice and Margie Vera.

Dewey worked for 25 years with Baldwin Construction, where he was known not only for his strong work ethic, but also for his quiet dependability and warm spirit. Outside of work, he found joy in the stillness of nature. An avid fisherman, Dewey cherished the peaceful moments spent by the water with a pole in his hand and God's creation surrounding him.

To his family, Dewey was the heart of the home - a gentle soul who listened with patience, forgave freely, and loved unconditionally. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Yvette Roudybush, Anthony Vera, Leanna Clark, Kimberly Nance and Tracey Vera. He was a proud grandfather to Robert Jurado, III., Marissa Dean, Kevin Pace, Jr., Erika Paniagua, Kyra Pace, Chloe Clark and Kaylee Clark; and a beloved great-grandfather to Isabrella Jurado, Robert Jurado, IV., and Marcus Dean, with one more precious great-grandchild on the way. Each one help a special place in his heart.

A service honoring Dewey's life will be held at Rose Chapel Mortuary, 6382 Clark Road, Paradise, CA 95969. A public viewing will begin at 1:00 P.M., followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 P.M.

May the memory of Dewey Eliseo Vera continue to shine bright in the hearts of all who loved him, and may his legacy of faith, kindness and gentle strength live on in the generations he leaves behind.
