Dennis Kent Quigley

Dennis Kent Quigley of Oroville passed away on April 3, 2023. He fought a courageous battle with cancer
and told everyone “I’m not giving up.”
He was born September 25, 1963 in Alturas, CA to Larry L. Quigley and Judith E. (Nelson) Quigley. 
Dennis always had a love for cows and spent most of his life chasing that dream. In his youth, he
excelled in Little League, showed steers with the Oroville FFA, was a team roper, bulldogger and
bareback bronc rider in CSHRA District 1 . As an adult, he drove cattle and lumber trucks, worked at his
family lumber yard, and eventually opened his own feed store, D and J Feed, in Oroville. 
Dennis married Cindy Stout Quigley in 1983. They had 2 children, Erin and Todd. 
His brother, Kevin Quigley, and his grandparents Earl & Catherine Quigley and Grace Nelson preceded
Dennis in death. 
He is survived by his father Larry Quigley of Alturas, his mother Judith Quigley, his daughter & son-in-law
Erin and Pat Medeiros, his son and daughter-in-law Todd and Marina Quigley, his grandchildren Riley
and Presley Medeiros, Ty Kent and Sloane Quigley, all of Oroville. Many close friends will sorely miss
him.  
The family would like to thank Candace Owen for her loving care of Dennis during his illness.
