Charlamaine Whigham Obituary

Charlamaine Joy Whigham, affectionately known as Charlie
by her friends and as Grandma Charlie by her family, was
born May 7, 1947 in Long Beach, California to her parents Bill
and Dorothy Graham. She was the middle child of three, with
an older brother and younger sister. She lived in Glendora,
California until 1981 when she and her young family moved
to the Pulga Maintenance Station in the Feather River
Canyon. She worked in the insurance sector, grocery
business, and advertising industry until she retired in the late
1990s, but her heart’s passion was the ministry work the
Lord had prepared for her in advance for the last two
decades of her life. Friends describe her as a servant-leader
and champion for Christ. Charlie loved a good, long ‘chat’,
had a belly-laughing sense of humor, and never missed an
opportunity to hang out with friends. She is survived by her
two children, Lisa Ross and Todd Whigham, her two grandchildren, Samantha and Reid Ross,
and her son-in-law, Steve Ross. She passed away in her sleep Friday, July 22nd and will be laid to
rest at a brief graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, August 18 th at 9 a.m.
followed immediately by a celebration of life at her home church, Grace Baptist (3646 Oro Dam
Blvd. E). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of the following ministries: Friday
Night Grace @ Grace Baptist Church; Freedom House Recovery Center; 2nd Step @ Jordan
Crossings Ministries.

I have called you by your name (Charlie); you are Mine. When you pass through the
waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when
you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3
