Brenda Gaye McHenry

Brenda Gaye McHenry, 61, of Durham, CA, passed away on April 18th, 2022, in Paradise, CA.

Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on April 30th, 2022 at Hope Church 14126 Skyway Magalia, CA.  Her final resting place will be at Glenn Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, CA with a date that is still yet to be determined.

Brenda was born in Martinsville Virginia to Hayward and Doris Martin on September 23rd, 1960.  She went to school at Durham High School and graduated in 1979.  She attended Las Vegas University where she studied child development. She worked as an administrator for Boys and Girls Club for many years where she touched the lives of many kids who still remember her to this day.  Upon moving back to Northern California, she opened her own cleaning business Best Home and Office Cleaning, which she ran until the Paradise Fire in 2018. She loved spending her time crafting, scrapbooking, gardening, and spending time with her animals and family.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents Hayward and Doris Martin, her brother Ricky Martin, and her aunt Nancy Maycock.

Brenda is survived by her siblings Pam Martin Kucher, Claudia Grover, David Martin and Rodney Martin as well as many nieces, nephews and people who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to local pet shelters or animal benefitting agencies in Brenda’s name.
