Thomas Eugene MacDonald was born July 3, 1934 in Binghamton, New York to Francis and Agatha MacDonald and passed away on December 27, 2019 in Chico, California. He was a Paradise resident for 45 years.
Mr. MacDonald received his Bachelor's Degree from Dominguiz College and served as the Chief Deputy Probation Officer for Butte County Juvenile Hall for 23 years.
A member of the Paradise Elks Lodge #2026 since 1973, Mr. MacDonald served as Secretary from 1994 - 2000, was a Trustee for 5 years and Bar Manager for 10 years. He was a member of the Paradise Center for Spiritual Living, the California Probation Parole Correctional Association, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, where he volunteered on the annual banquet committee, and served on the Executive Board of the Paradise Boys and Girls Club. Mr. MacDonald was also a member of the Chico Running Club completing a half marathon in the 1982 Almond Blossom Run. Additionally, as a member of the California Association of Probation Institution Administrators he served the organization as Past North Regional Chair, Past State Training Chairman and was a Past State President.
Mr. MacDonald is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheila MacDonald of Chico.

Step-daughters: Teri Smith of Tennessee, Tracie Cvitkovich of Chico and Trish Hopps of Oroville
Brother: John MacDonald of Connecticut
Sisters: Jean Ward of Florida and Carol Fish of New York
7 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren
A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Paradise Elks Lodge #2026, 315 Ewald Court, Paradise at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. A social time will immediately follow the service.
Private inurnment will be at Paradise Cemetery.
