Shirley Mae Lucas

Shirley Mae Lucas was born on July 25, 1948 in Sangor, CA.  She was the 4^th of 5 children in her family.  Shirley lived in Paradise, CA for almost 40 years.  She loved this town.  Paradise is where she worked with developmentally disabled children and adults for over 30 years at Sunny Acres and her home on Oliver Road.  Shirley touched so many lives throughout her life.  The empathy, understanding and compassion that she showed towards others was truly inspirational.  Shirley showed all of us that TIME=LOVE and money has nothing to do with Love.  Shirley is survived by her youngest brother Randy, Sister-in-law Michelle, nieces Tiffany, Shelbie and Tia, nephews Sean, Luke and Jeff and many great-nieces and nephews, loved ones and friends.  Shirley passed away on November 26, 2017 in Anderson, CA.  Her big, loving heart simply gave out at the age of 69, 9 days after her Mother, Iva passed away at the age of 94.  A private memorial was held to honor Shirley and her Mother on December 2, 2017.  There will be an additional, more public celebration of her life in Paradise, CA in late January, 2018.  More details to come.  Shirley will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.  The love and care she gave to so many will be cherished and remembered always.
