Mildred "Millie" L. Marada passed on July 22, 2018 in Chico, California.
She was born in Southern California to Rosalyn Hails and Thomas H. Nelson. As a child Millie spent her summer in Northern California at Boulder Creek. Millie loved music and still in High School played the bass with the Glendale Symphony Orchestra. She met Dick Marada and married in 1945 after graduating High School. When WW2 ended Dick and Millie traveled by train from Fort Schumacher to Dick's home in New Jersey. After a few years they returned to Southern California where Dick persued a career in Aviation. Millie attended college while raising two boys (Steve and Dennis). She graduated and became a Kindergarten Teacher for 27 years. She served as President of the Association of Childhood Ed.S.S. When they retired they moved to Paradise where she served as President of the Paradise Elks Wives Club. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the NRA and the International Association of Turtles. Millie loved little kids, dogs, fishing and camping, slot machines and Bingo. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Dick and younger son Dennis.
