August 29, 1942 – April 25, 2018
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of a great man, Gerald Foursha at the age of 75 on April 25, 2018 in Oroville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Foursha and Fern Alexander, his wife Carol Foursha and daughter Tammy Foursha. He is survived by his sister Sharon Brantley, daughter Teresa Foursha, son Todd Foursha, daughter in-law Gwen Foursha, grandchildren Adrienne Nelson, Cole Foursha, Tamra Foursha, great-granddaughter Gwendolyn Nelson.
He was born in Yuba City, CA and spent most his life in Oroville. He graduated from Oroville High School in 1960 and then joined the Operating Engineers following his father’s footsteps. They worked together on the Oroville Dam. He was one of the original members of the Men Who Built Oroville Dam, Crane Operator for Operating Engineers Local #3 for 38 years before retiring.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service Friday, May 4th at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, CA. Followed by a luncheon at The Mormon Church 2390 Monte Vista Ave.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer making a donation to the Northwest SPCA 2787 So. 5th Ave., Oroville, CA 95965.
